Specialised Exhibitions has announced that the second edition of the successful Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo will be taking centre stage in Hall 10 alongside Electra Mining Africa 2024.
As a showcase of Southern Africa’s manufacturing capabilities across industry, construction, mining, agriculture and power sectors, this broad reaching expo is geared to facilitate the growth of Southern Africa’s manufacturing sector and to help grow sustainability for the local manufacturing industry.
“With the inaugural expo having exceeded exhibitor and visitor expectations, next year’s Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo is expected to grow exponentially at its new home alongside Electra Mining Africa, one of the top mining and industrial related shows in the world,” says Charlene Hefer, Portfolio Director at Specialised Exhibitions, organisers of the show.
“The local manufacturing sector has enormous potential to provide the very growth needed to strengthen the economy and the Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo is the platform from which this growth can be catapulted.”
The Expo is organised in association with the South African Capital Equipment Export Council (SACEEC) and provides an interactive platform for thousands of decision-makers and buyers to meet the providers of the latest manufacturing solutions, machinery, products and services.
“During the five days of Electra Mining Africa 2022, which took place in September last year, over 30,000 people connected across the represented industries. There were thousands of products on display and thousands of face-to-face interactions took place. Manufacturing was at its core and by bringing the Local Southern African Manufacturing Expo alongside Electra Mining Africa, we are further putting the spotlight on all things local in manufacturing,” Hefer explains. “It’s perfectly aligned with the targeted reach of Electra Mining Africa.”
The Expo will have its own Seminar Theatre where knowledgeable speakers will share their insights and expertise in thought-provoking sessions that will cover industry trends and legislation. “Industry conferences and workshops are also being planned as well as an area where individuals can display their technical skills in an interactive workshop setting,” Hefer said.
